Kentucky {50 States of Yoga}

I was picked up at 5:30 in the morning at Nashville Airport by my college friend Nichole and her daughter, Victoria.  I hadn't seen Nichole for 16 years.  I can't even believe I am that old that college was 16 years ago!  We headed Northwest towards Mammoth Caves in Kentucky.  En route, in Bowling Green, we blew a tire!  It was shredded.  Fortunately, as we began digging through the trunk for the spare, a Kentucky State Trooper rolled up and offered to change the tire for us.  A Southern gentleman, indeed.

Alaska {50 States Of Yoga}

{That's a giant glacier!}

It's been nearly a month!  What?!  I can't believe it either... but it's been nearly a month since I blogged about my last 50 States Of Yoga trip.  I had a trip planned for late April, but had to postpone it because I caught a cold.  Ugh.  The rest was good though and I am back on track!  This past week I spent 48 hours in.... Alaska!  And it was amazing!

Valley of Fire State Park {Nevada}

Desert driving in our convertible!

This past weekend we spent Superbowl 49 hiking at Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada, about an hour northeast of Las Vegas.  Yeah, I am actually from New England, but football really isn't a sport we're into.  And I figured the parks would be quiet... so let's go for a hike!  Oh... and the "we" is me and my husband, Dave.  This was a weekend get-a-way for us and I did not take a yoga class while we were there... so Nevada is still yet to be checked off my 50 States of Yoga list.
