i'm the kind of girl... that likes to roam around...

planning this trip is exciting and overwhelming...
so much to see, that i haven't seen before...
and i want to see it all!
the map above is my route as of today...
the main route is green.
the orange route is a possible stop in gary, IN to have coffee with a friend from WI.
the purple route is if decide to skip mexico.
the skipping mexico isn't likely, as i am obsessed with mexico.
but i've also never driven quite this far before... alone.
so i may just decide i need to get somewhere an pitch a tent and chill.
that said...

i've never been to any of these place...
(with the exception of yosemite) so i really don't know what to expect.
(NP = national park; NM = national monument, except where it obvi means new mexico)

phew! yeah that's a ton of places...
will i get to all of them in 3 weeks??
unsure...
the one's that are starred are the ones i'm most interested in.
the others are along the way, sort of.
we'll see.
i leave the 2nd.
plan to drive straight to brazil, IN in 24 hrs time..
the drive takes about 19 hrs, so there's plenty of time for napping along the way.
i'll spend two nights at my aunt's home
and visit family in the area.
then leave early on the 5th and drive, drive, drive.
the only other dates with anything attached to them are:
12-14th to be in grand canyon, (lauren's days off)
21st to be back in berkeley (amma's in town, terence leaves the 22nd - would like to see both of them.)
otherwise... its seat of my pants...
i can't cram too much, as i am the only one driving
and i need to do school work during this time too.
only time will tell...
i am super excited though...
but who wouldn't be!
