San Francisco Bay

Golden Gate Bridge

This past weekend my father-in-law and brother-in-law visited from Philadelphia.

We went into "The City" as it's known around here or San Francisco, for non-locals.  We took a lovely bay tour, out under the Golden Gate Bridge and around Alcatraz.  The weather was just perfect - warm, sunny, and not a lot of wind - which is rare for San Francisco.  After the bay cruise we had lunch at Fisherman's Wharf.  I had a crab melt - the area is famous for crabs.  Then we headed to Fort Point in The Presidio for a close-up land view of the GG Bridge.  Finally, we went to Lombard Street - the "crookedest" street in San Francisco.

It was a full day on Saturday, followed by a nice, slow day on Sunday with a friends and family-filled BBQ afternoon.  A fantastic, if not short, visit from family made for a beautiful and quick weekend!
